This morning, AMVETS National Commander Duane J. Miskulin and AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary National President Patty Piening visited with wounded troops at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
During rare downtime between his visits to AMVETS posts and departments around the country, Miskulin and Piening managed to schedule visits with troops and a tour of the Army's state-of-the-art prosthetics ward.
AMVETS leaders and AMVETS service officers routinely visit with troops at Walter Reed and Bethesda Naval Hospital, speaking with troops about their entitlements through VA once they separate from service.
AMVETS service officers are also stationed at VA regional offices around the country, offering similar claims assistance, free of charge to all honorably discharged veterans. To learn more, Click Here.
